Bipasha shows how to 'fly' to keep fit

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu was at her sporty best when she demonstrated how to 'fly' to keep fit using a new gym workout - Jukari Fit To Fly - at an event here Wednesday.


















The actress is the brand ambassador of Reebok, and was in the capital to introduced the new fitness regime, especially for women. It was launched in association with globally renowned entertainment company Cirque Du Soleil.

Bipasha demonstrated a few exercises along with a fitness expert using the FlySet, which is a special-designed piece of equipment for the workout.

'Right now I have just had a small taste of it but yes, when you do an hour-long workout like this, you actually will feel like you are flying. It's really fun,” Bipasha said after trying it.

'There are a lot of women, and some of my friends too, who don't like to go to the gym and this kind of a workout is great fun because they will get to join a group class and there will be music.'

'At the end of the day, you'll feel like a child - you will jump, fly and you can do just about anything. At the same time, there will muscle toning, stretching, lengthening,” she added.

Jukari Fit To Fly has been launched in India in partnership with gym chain Fitness First. Interested candidates can enrol for the workout session at the Fitness First studio in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon after which it would be available at more outlets of the chain.

Balachandar proud of "Naadodigal" Samuthirakani

Samuthirakani’s ‘Naadodigal’ was received with open hands and won people’s heart. Since the day of its release its success story has spread all over the places. The hard work has been paid and the team truly deserve a pat on their backs.

Behind the scenes, the movie’s second half was shot for a time frame of 2 hours 44 mins, initially. Later on the director, Samuthirakani, himself spent several hours and even nights, editing and cutting the scenes and shrunk it to 1 hour 25 mins. Now the director’s only concern is that the movie should be spared from further cuts or edits. So he has sent a letter to all the theatre operators requesting them not to do.

It is said to be believed that when K. Balachandar saw the movie, he turned very emotional after the screening. Balachandar, with whom Samuthirakani had worked as an assistant before, was very concerned about Naadodigal’s faring, so much that he spent several sleepless nights. But after the movie’s success, his fears were put to rest and he added to say that he can at last sleep peacefully hereon.

The ad, nominated in three different categories, created by JWT Advertising Agency, depicts a normal day in the life of Chennai.
