RahMania- A tribute to A R Rahman's Golden Era
A keyboard player to a lot of music directors, a composer for a lot of commercial jingles, a youth heartthrob of music, a winner of Oscars and a winner of Grammy’s, the list will only grow to continue, Padma Bhushan A R Rahman, India’s proud son, will have a tribute paid to him in Chennai.
A R Rahman, the Mozart of Madras, has been emerging victorious in all his outings lately and an event called ‘RahMania’ to celebrate his success will be organized in Chennai on the 28th of February.
From his prodigious debut in ‘Roja’ till his Oscar winning achievement in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, A R Rahman has only climbed a small ant hill. His tremendous talent will fetch him all that he deserves. ‘RahMania’ is one such event that will pay a righteous tribute to Chennai’s own A R Rahman.

'Vijay' speaks for "Ajith"
In the recent controversy over Ajith and artiste privacy issue Ajith has got support from an unexpected colleague. Though he is considered a professional rival to Ajith, Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay has come out in support of Ajith our sources reveal. Vijay has reportedly talked to V C Guhanathan for Ajith. What did he speak?
Vijay had apparently said to FEFSI President “Ajith is an open book and he never speaks anything with hidden motives. He always speaks from his heart. The non-issue was blown out of proportion only by media”. Vijay also has requested V C Guhanathan to let the issue go and not take any further actions by FEFSI.
Meanwhile, some other reports say, even the chief minister did not like the idea of issuing “red cards” to Rajini and Ajith. Reports also said the meeting of Ajith with the CM was cordial and the CM listened to Ajith’s point of view in the whole episode with concern.

Ajith-Rajini ignore Jaguar Thangam
The more stunt master Jaguar Thangam lashes out at actor Ajith and superstar Rajinikanth, the more does our respect for both stars increase, given the dignified composure they continue to maintain in spite of his provocative statements.
A few days ago, an attack was made on Jaguar Thangam's residence while he was away shooting for a film at Madurai. Even before the police were informed, Jaguar Thangam was called and without any proper evidence, the stunt master kicked up quite a row, alleging that the attack had been made on him by fans of Ajith. He was demanding Ajith's arrest which did not happen. Angered that his demands had not been heeded, he threatened to bring in members of his caste to attack Ajith's residence. Security was tightened around Thala's residence immediately. Jaguar Thangam then made a statement that he had lodged a complaint against Ajith with the Nadigar Sangam and was sure they would take some action.
He told presspersons yesterday that he wanted an apology from Ajith for the attack against him and that Ajith also owed an apology to FEFSI for his statement at the function felicitating Kalaignar Karunanithi. When a certain member of the press pointed out that Rajinikanth had given Ajith a standing ovation for the mentioned statement, Jaguar Thangam did not think twice before saying that no one ever took the things Rajni said seriously and that there was every possibility that the superstar might twist the meaning of his words or actions later on. And while Jaguar Thangam is busy getting all the attention, the targets of all his attacks -- Ajith and Rajinikanth -- have not even flinched! A silent stand that tells everything: whose words should be taken seriously and whose not!
"Ajith Kumar" Supported By Nadigar Sangam
Followed by the gaudy shows put up by other executive members of industry related associations, Nadigar Sangam pulls in for the situation by extending substantive support to actor Ajith Kumar . As in earlier reports, it all started off with his stunning speech at CM felicitation ceremony about actors being threatened to attend the political and social issues.
Before couple of days, producer V.C. Guhanathan and Kalaipuli Sekaran had commented that an actor must abide by the rules implemented by the council.
Apparently, the topmost officials in Nadigar Sangam – Actors Sarath Kumar and Radha Ravi have made abrupt statements condemning them that actors shouldn’t be anymore offended by them.
The executive members of Nadigar Sangam have clearly mentioned that any issues pertaining to actors can be sorted out within themselves and shouldn’t be laid out under public glare.
Rajini’s emotional gift to Kamal
Admiration is something that ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth receives naturally because of his deeds and actions. In one such action, he has proved yet again that he’s not only a superstar but also a true friend.
The friendship about Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan is incredible and all of us know it. They have acted in many movies together and both consider director K. Balachandar as their mentor. During a function to facilitate Kamal’s fifty years in the film industry, Rajini had reportedly said that all the actors were ‘children of the Goddess of Art’, but ‘Kamal was so special that the Goddess had carried him in her own arms and let the other actors follow her’. This speech of Rajini had indeed received a lot of applause from the audience and the guests and especially Kamal who turned emotional by saying Rajini is his closest friend in the Tamil industry.
While that speech of Rajini would have been forgotten by many, sources say the ‘superstar’ apparently had called a reputed artist to his house to paint what he felt about the description of Kamal with the Goddess of Art. He had expressed his feelings and told his idea of how the painting can be portrayed. Rajini wanted the painting to include superstars from other industries as well and wanted them to be depicted as children. After a few days, the artist had come up with his version and Rajini was awestruck seeing it. He was so grateful to the artist and he immediately packed the painting and sent it to Kamal’s office. Sources say that after Kamal opened the package he was so happy to see the painting which made him feel so special. Apparently there was a telephonic conversation between the two, where Kamal was reported to have told Rajini, he was moved by this gesture.
The painting has Goddess of Art carrying Kamal in her arms, and superstars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan , Mohanlal , Kannada superstar Vishnuvaradhan and Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi as kids who are playing and following them. Only photos of two stalwarts of Tamil Cinema hang on Kamal’s walls and they are Sivaji Ganesan and Nagesh. Now he has another painting and that too from a special friend. A tale of friendship that all Tamil fans would love to see it blossom.
