Russell Crowe to star in Indian film

With Indian filmmakers going places, there are several stars from Hollywood keen to be part of our films. And the latest to do an Indian film is the Gladiator star Russell Crowe.

Don’t be shocked, guys! As per reports, the Aussie actor showed interest to act in director Sudipto Sen’s film on Kumbh Mela. The bilingual project, to be made in Hindi and English, will have the Academy winning actor play his age as a German writer who comes to India searching for nirvana (spiritual liberation). However, the character falls in love with a young girl.

The project will have a lot of talent in its crew. A R Rahman and Resul Pookutty have been signed for the music of the film, and Academy award winning costume designer Bhanu Athaiya is in charge of dressing up the characters. Chris Dickens of Slumdog Millionaire fame will edit the film.
