Kanthaswamy is a Susi Ganeshan film made in Shankar's style.. The Vikram starrer, which took two years to hit the screens, is an action driven adventure coupled with style and substance.

The movie is about a super hero, who has the brilliance of a wizard, strength of an elephant and speed of a bullet-train. He fulfills the desires of the people and cleans up evils from the society.

A crusader called Kanthaswamy (Vikram) solves financial problems of people after reading their wishes tied in a temple tree. When the DIG of Police (Prabhu) wants to find out the truth behind the Robin Hood act, enters the daring CBI officer Kanthaswamy (again Vikram), who is on a mission to uncover black money.

The CBI officer believes that black money is the root cause of all evil and raids a bungalow of PPP (Asish Vidyarti). There are also other villains like Rajmohan and Pitchumani (Alex), who wants to settle scores with Kanthaswamy. In the meantime, Subbalakshmi (Shriya), PPP's daughter too swears revenge on Kanthaswamy. A climax with a message presents answers to all questions.

Vikram emerges a clear winner. Though he had played similar roles in Samurai and Anniyan, his hard work is visible scene after scene. Shriya Saran too steals the show with her sizzling act.

N K Ekambaram's camera angles makes the film visually stunning. Equally good are Thotta Tharani's set designs Movinstilz's visual effects.
Music of Devi Sri Prasad gels well with the movie's mood.

In short, the film directed by Susi Ganeshan and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu is an expensive extravaganza with loads of commercial elements. If logic is not your search, then Kanthaswami could be your destination.
