Goa will entertain: Venkat Prabhu

After having given the blockbuster hits Chennai 600028 and Saroja, Venkat Prabhu gears up to deliver a hat-trick with Goa, produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth for Ocher Picture Productions. It is to be noted that Soundarya is currently working on the magnum opus Sultan the warrior, which has Rajinikanth as an animated character. Soundarya's Ocher Studios is also into CG and DI effects for more than 100 movies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English. Goa is due to release in a few months.

After checking out Venkat Prabhu's earlier movies, Soundarya was impressed and wanted him to direct her maiden production venture. Venkat takes care of the story, screenplay, direction and also has written the dialogues. Everyone keeps marching ahead in life with lots of expectations, but many a times, the unexpected happens, which ends up being much better than the expected. The story of Goa is based on these lines. When asked why he had given the movie such a title, the director explained that the movie would be a joyful trip for each moviegoer and sure to be an entertainer. Many of Venkat's regular cast return in Goa, including Jai, Premji Amaran, Vaibhav, Sampath and Arvind Aakash. Sneha is the surprise package of Goa, playing an entirely different role which would give her career a new dimension and take it to greater heights. Julie Fine, an actress from New York, is being introduced to Kollywood by Venkat.

Goa, by the Venkat Prabhu-Yuvan combo is one of the most-anticipated movies to be released this year. Sakthi Saravanan does the cinematography while stunts are by Selva. The movie has completed part of the shooting in Theni, Pannaiyapuram and surrounding locations. The second schedule is to be shot in Goa for nearly 40 days and then, the entire team might travel abroad for the songs and a few other sequences.
