Tamil cinema has truly come of age! Many films from Kollywood have made a mark on the international horizon. This was proved at the recently held 7th Annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.
Two Tamil movies screened were Quick Gun Murugan and Kanchivaram. Both were screened in Hollywood at the premium ArcLight Cinemas theatre, which has the best state of the art sound system with stadium seating. Many Hollywood blockbuster films were screened at this place, and it is an honour when a Tamil film is watched here by an international audience!
A small speech was given by the screening organization about the two movies, and many Americans and people from different countries attended both shows.
There were many Tamilians in the audience; they were touched and felt proud that Tamil films have received such a huge response!
